Martin Romine has served as the Director of Finance for Zuni Public Schools (ZPSD) since September 2008. He currently represents Region I on the New Mexico Association of School Business Officials Board.

Prior to being employed by ZPSD he worked as a Finance Manager for various privately owned businesses in Gallup, NM. Most of those years he worked in the grocery and warehouse food service industry. During his time in the private sector he had the opportunity to be part of a legislatively appointed task force consisting of members of business, labor, and government. This committee had the task of re-writing the worker's compensation law for the state of New Mexico. They were successful in bringing many worker's compensation insurers back into the state, creating the New Mexico Mutual Casualty Company, and reducing worker's compensation bills for businesses throughout the state.

While working in the grocery industry he sat on the Government Relations Committee of the National Grocer's Association where he had the opportunity to help set legislative priorities for independent grocers throughout the nation. On a local level he was elected to the Ramah Water and Sanitation District Board of Directors where he served 6 years as chairman. Mr. Romine received his degree in Finance from Brigham Young University. He has been married for almost 39 years; he and his wife have 4 children and 10 grandchildren.
